CLUB MANAGER/DIRECTOR OF TENNIS

Quentin is a Certified Tennis Professional Instructor by the French Federation of Tennis. He is a certified Physical Coach as well, having received his degree in Physical Training from the University of Burgundy. He also holds a bachelor’s degree in Sport Training and Sport Management. Quentin is a veteran tennis pro having taught at RCLB for the last 13 years. He has served as Co-Director of Junior Tennis as well as the Director of the Junior Green Group. He also worked with many private juniors and adult groups as well as the ladies team drills. Quentin now manages the club operations, staff and tennis programs at RCLB.

With his in-depth knowledge of the club’s operations, programs and staff, Quentin is committed to helping the club continue its growth and reach new milestones. Having built very strong relationships with RCLB members over the years, he is dedicated to providing the club members an exceptional tennis experience at RCLB.

GOLD/SILVER HP/SILVER COORDINATOR/ CO-JUNIOR DIRECTOR/MEN’S TEAMS COORDINATOR

Johan is a certified Tennis instructor by the French Federation of Tennis. Johan has been teaching tennis for over 30 years. From Caan, France, Johan attained his High Level Certification from the French Tennis Federation in 2008. He coached the French National 18 and under champion in 2010. He advanced to a Level 2 National coach in 2011, where he trained the top 14 and 20 and under National girls teams. In 2012, Johan captained the Junior Davis Cup team in Moscow. Afterward, he coached the 20 and under French WTA players from 2013-14.

Since joining RCLB in 2016, Johan has worked with adults and juniors across all levels for classes and private lessons. Johan now focuses on our high level juniors in Gold and Silver/Silver HP groups and serves as co-junior director to develop and coordinate junior programs. Johan also serves as the Men’s Team Coordinator and organizes the men’s team practices and matches.

BRONZE COORDINATOR

Originally from Ghana, West Africa, Alex was a member of the Ghana National Tennis Team and has competed in numerous ATP Futures and Challenger events worldwide. He moved to the U.S. in 2000 to attend Carthage College, where he played for the Men’s Tennis Team while studying Business Administration.

With over 18 years of experience as a Tennis Professional in the North Shore area, Alex has worked with players of all ages and skill levels. At RCLB, Alex continues to share his expertise to develop competitive junior players to help them reach their tennis goals. He is also active with our adult players, coaching Adult Drills and Ladies Team Drills.

GREEN COORDINATOR

Lito has been a prominent figure in tennis on the North Shore, starting as the youngest Director of Tennis at the Bath and Tennis Club at just 23 years old. He is the former Head Pro at Onwentsia Club in Lake Forest and has had an extensive career in tennis. A former Philippines National Champion in every junior age bracket, Lito went on to play Division 1 tennis at Southern Illinois University – Carbondale, where he was the freshman conference champion.

At RCLB, Lito brings his wealth of experience to both junior and adult players, offering group and private lessons. His dedication and passion for the game continue to inspire players of all ages.

ORANGE COORDINATOR

Originally from Poland, Szymon began playing tennis at the age of 7 and was competing in junior tournaments by age 10. After moving to the U.S. at 13, he continued to develop his game, competing regularly and honing his skills. His passion for the game led him to the Eagle Fustar Tennis Academy in California, where he coached aspiring young athletes and helped guide them to success in USTA tournaments.

As a certified coach with the Professional Tennis Registry (PTR), Szymon brings a wealth of experience, energy, and a deep understanding of technique and on-court strategy. He’s passionate about helping players of all ages and skill levels grow, compete, and fall in love with the game. At RCLB, Szymon works as the Coordinator of the Orange Group as well as teaches adult and junior groups and private lessons.

WHITE/PURPLE/RED COORDINATOR/
GIRLS HIGH SCHOOL COORDINATOR

A certified Tennis Instructor by the French Federation of Tennis, Kevin brings over 20 years of coaching experience to RCLB. Before joining the club in 2016, he served as the Tennis Director at a prestigious club in Paris, where he oversaw both junior and adult programs.

At RCLB, Kevin is instrumental in nurturing the growth of junior players at various skill levels, while also offering personalized private lessons. As the coordinator for our youngest players in the White, Purple, and Red groups, he focuses on developing foundational tennis skills that help young athletes progress and reach their full potential. Kevin’s deep expertise and passion for the game are a constant source of inspiration for the next generation of players. In addition to his coaching role, Kevin also oversees the club’s pro shop and racquet stringing services, ensuring top-notch equipment and services for all members

WOMEN’S PROGRAMS COORDINATOR

Originally from Eyguieres, France, Alice is a former Division 1 collegiate tennis player who competed at Stephen F. Austin University and Northern Arizona University, where she achieved as high as #1 in doubles and #4 in singles during her career. After earning her degree in Exercise Science, Alice returned to France to teach tennis and received her certification from the French Federation of Tennis.

At RCLB, she brings her extensive experience and passion for the game to our Ladies Programs, coordinating Ladies Drills, Teams, and Special Events. Alice works to give her players the best experience for both drills and matches to continue to improve their game. In addition, Alice coaches multiple junior levels and offers private lessons, dedicated to helping players of all ages and skill levels excel.

JUNIOR TRAVEL TEAM COORDINATOR

With extensive experience on the court, Herman has traveled across the Midwest as a tournament coach at the USTA amateur levels. He was a hitting partner for high school athletes with top 100 national rankings, DI/DIII college players, and even a Top 30 WTA Tour professional. Herman had the distinct honor of captaining and playing with the Ghana Davis Cup Tennis Team in 2024.

Herman is currently working with many junior levels at RCLB, as well as teaching small group classes. He oversees the RCLB Junior Team Tennis and brought our Green Team to the Midwest Finals in Indianapolis in July 2024. Herman still plays competitively in USTA and CITA men’s leagues.

TENNIS PROFESSIONAL

Jan has been a certified tennis coach for over 20 years and has been playing tennis since he was 5 years old in his birthplace of Prague, Czech Republic. He has worked with players of all ages and skill levels, from young beginners to senior competitors—and even WTA professionals, including a former world No. 46. Before joining RCLB, Jan owned and operated a tennis school in Nuremberg, Germany, where he honed his expertise in developing well-rounded athletes. Beyond tennis, he holds the highest certifications in Personal Training, Functional Training, and Running Coaching, bringing a unique and well-rounded approach to player development.

At RCLB, Jan is dedicated to helping juniors and adults improve their game through group sessions and private lessons.

TENNIS PROFESSIONAL

Originally from Poland, Dawid moved to the U.S. at the age of seven and holds both a bachelor’s degree in Information Technology and a master’s degree in Information Systems from DePaul University. His passion for tennis and sports runs deep, having been a member of DePaul’s men’s tennis team where he won two Big East Championships and later served as the team manager.

Dawid brings with him over eight years of coaching experience, including three years full-time at LakeShore Sports and Fitness in Chicago. He is passionate about coaching both juniors and adults and he enjoys helping players of all skill levels improve and enjoy the game of tennis.

TENNIS PROFESSIONAL

Rod has over 45 years of teaching experience and is recognized as one of the best coaches in the Midwest. He has coached thousands of junior players throughout his career after playing collegiate tennis at University of Illinois. Rod was President of the USPTA (Midwest) for 3 years, Pro-of-the-Year 1976, Coach-of-the-Year in 1980, inducted into the USTA Midwest Hall of Fame in 1997 and he received the CDTA Lifetime Achievement Award in 2010. We are fortunate that Rod brought his vast experience to RCLB in 2004 and he has been instrumental to the success of the club over the years.

TENNIS PROFESSIONAL

Originally from Belarus, Irina began playing tennis at just seven years old and went on to compete as a member of the Junior and Women’s National Teams of Belarus. She studied at Minsk State University before moving to the U.S. in 1990 to continue her passion for the sport. With years of coaching experience, Irina is a certified Professional Tennis Coach who actively competes in both CITA and USTA events. Her skill and passion for the game are top level.

At RCLB, Irina assists with the Ladies Team Drills, teaches Junior Group Classes, and offers private lessons to players of all levels.

TENNIS PROFESSIONAL

Alina has 10 years of coaching experience and has been playing tennis since she was 6 in Kyiv, Ukraine. She was a top-ranked player in Ukraine, achieving a Top 10 ranking in the 18 & under category and Top 5 in adults. Alina reached #900 in the WTA and competed in prestigious tournaments like the Eddie Herr and Orange Bowl Championships.

She holds an MBA from Kyiv National Economics University and a Bachelor’s degree in Physical Culture and Sports from the National University of Physical Training and Sports. Alina earned her Master of Sports in Tennis in 2012 and was the Head Coach Tennis Assistant at the “Antey” Tennis School in Kyiv.

At RCLB, Alina coaches juniors and adults of all levels and offers private lessons.

TENNIS PROFESSIONAL

Matt brings a wealth of experience to RCLB, having developed his game in the prestigious Roland/Andrea Jaeger National Program and the renowned RSTA Schroeder Academy. As a junior, he achieved success in both singles and doubles, earning top rankings, including a #2 CDTA 18’s Doubles ranking in Chicago. With a strong coaching background, Matt has worked with juniors, high school players, and tournament competitors, guiding numerous athletes to state singles and doubles qualifications. He has also coached and advised D-1 college and club players and served as an assistant coach for a high school varsity team.

At RCLB, Matt teaches group classes for juniors and adults and teaches private lessons.

TENNIS PROFESSIONAL

Alison brings years of coaching experience and a passion for the game to her role at RCLB. Originally from Indianapolis, she played junior tennis before competing on a two-time state championship high school team and later at Indiana University’s 1987 Big Ten Championship team. With over 20 years of coaching experience at Club Med Resorts, Midtown in Chicago, and as Head Pro at the Macatawa Tennis Club, Alison combines her deep knowledge of the game with a background in elementary education, making her especially skilled at working with young players.

At RCLB, she continues to share her expertise and positive energy, working with juniors and adults in group and private lessons.
