Quentin is a Certified Tennis Professional through the French Tennis Federation and a Certified Physical Coach, having earned his degree in Physical Training from the University of Burgundy. He also holds a bachelor’s degree in Sport Training and Sport Management, combining a strong academic foundation with extensive coaching expertise.
A valued member of The Racquet Club of Lake Bluff for more than 14 years, Quentin has played an integral role in the development of the club’s tennis programs. He has served as Co-Director of Junior Tennis, and has coached players of all ages and abilities through private instruction, junior development, adult clinics, and ladies’ team training.
Quentin oversees all tennis programming and works closely with the staff to deliver an exceptional experience for every member. His deep understanding of the club and commitment to player development have helped establish RCLB as one of the premier tennis clubs in the Chicago area.

JUNIOR GOLD & HP / MEN’S TEAMS COORDINATOR

Johan is a certified Tennis instructor by the French Federation of Tennis. Johan has been teaching tennis for over 30 years. From Caan, France, Johan attained his High Level Certification from the French Tennis Federation in 2008. He coached the French National 18 and under champion in 2010. He advanced to a Level 2 National coach in 2011, where he trained the top 14 and 20 and under National girls teams. In 2012, Johan captained the Junior Davis Cup team in Moscow. Afterward, he coached the 20 and under French WTA players from 2013-14.

Since joining RCLB in 2016, Johan has worked with adults and juniors across all levels for classes and private lessons. Johan now focuses on our high level juniors in Gold and Silver/Silver HP groups and serves as co-junior director to develop and coordinate junior programs. Johan also serves as the Men’s Team Coordinator and organizes the men’s team practices and matches.

Originally from Ghana, West Africa, Alex was a member of the Ghana National Tennis Team and competed in numerous ATP Futures and Challenger events around the world. He moved to the United States in 2000 to attend Carthage College, where he played collegiate tennis while earning a degree in Business Administration.

With more than 18 years of coaching experience on Chicago’s North Shore, Alex has worked with players of all ages and skill levels. As RCLB’s Bronze Program Coordinator, he is passionate about developing competitive junior players and helping them reach their full potential. Alex also coaches adult clinics, private lessons, and Ladies’ Team Drills, bringing the same energy and expertise to every player he works with.

Lito has been one of the North Shore’s most respected tennis professionals for decades, becoming the youngest Director of Tennis at the Bath & Tennis Club at just 23 years old. He later served as Head Tennis Professional at Onwentsia Club in Lake Forest.

A former Philippine National Junior Champion in every age division, Lito went on to play NCAA Division I tennis at Southern Illinois University Carbondale, where he earned Freshman Conference Champion honors.

A certified Tennis Instructor by the French Federation of Tennis, Kevin brings over 20 years of coaching experience to RCLB. Before joining the club in 2016, he served as the Tennis Director at a prestigious club in Paris, where he oversaw both junior and adult programs.

At RCLB, Kevin is instrumental in nurturing the growth of junior players at various skill levels, while also offering personalized private lessons. As the coordinator for our youngest players in the White, Purple, Red and Orange groups, he focuses on developing foundational tennis skills that help young athletes progress and reach their full potential.

Kevin’s deep expertise and passion for the game are a constant source of inspiration for the next generation of players. In addition to his coaching role, Kevin also oversees the club’s pro shop and racquet stringing services, ensuring top-notch equipment and services for all members.

Originally from Eyguières, France, Alice is a former NCAA Division I tennis player who competed at Stephen F. Austin University and Northern Arizona University, where she achieved career rankings of No. 1 in doubles and No. 4 in singles. After earning her degree in Exercise Science, she returned to France and became a Certified Tennis Professional through the French Tennis Federation.

At RCLB, Alice leads the Ladies Programs, coordinating team practices, drills, leagues, and special events. She is passionate about creating an enjoyable and competitive environment while helping players continue to improve their game. Herman brings extensive coaching and competitive experience to RCLB. He has traveled throughout the Midwest as a USTA tournament coach and has worked with nationally ranked high school players, NCAA Division I and III athletes, and a Top 30 WTA professional. In 2024, he had the honor of captaining and competing for the Ghana Davis Cup Team.

At RCLB, Herman coaches multiple junior programs, leads small group training, and oversees the club’s Junior Team Tennis and Girls High School programs. Under his leadership, the RCLB Green Team advanced to the Midwest Finals in 2024.

Prior to joining RCLB, Jan owned and operated a successful tennis academy in Nuremberg, Germany, where he developed players through a comprehensive approach to training.

Rod brings more than 45 years of teaching and coaching experience and is widely recognized as one of the Midwest’s most respected tennis professionals. A former collegiate player at the University of Illinois, he has coached thousands of junior players throughout his distinguished career. Rod’s accomplishments include serving as President of the USPTA Midwest Division for three years, earning USPTA Midwest Pro of the Year (1976) and Coach of the Year (1980), and being inducted into both the USTA Midwest Hall of Fame (1997) and the Chicago Tennis Hall of Fame (2020). In 2010, he received the CDTA Lifetime Achievement Award in recognition of his outstanding contributions to the game. An accomplished competitor as well as coach, Rod continues to compete nationally in his age division and was a member of the USTA Men’s 8.0 team that captured back-to-back National Championships in 2024 and 2025. Since joining The Racquet Club of Lake Bluff in 2004, Rod has been an invaluable member of our professional staff. Alina holds an MBA from Kyiv National Economics University and a bachelor’s degree in Physical Culture and Sports from the National University of Physical Education and Sport of Ukraine. Matt brings a wealth of experience to RCLB, having developed his game in the prestigious Roland/Andrea Jaeger National Program and the renowned RSTA Schroeder Academy. As a junior, he achieved success in both singles and doubles, earning top rankings, including a #2 CDTA 18’s Doubles ranking in Chicago. With a strong coaching background, Matt has worked with juniors, high school players, and tournament competitors, guiding numerous athletes to state singles and doubles qualifications. He has also coached and advised D-1 college and club players and served as an assistant coach for a high school varsity team.

Alison brings years of coaching experience and a passion for the game to her role at RCLB. Originally from Indianapolis, she played junior tennis before competing on a two-time state championship high school team and later at Indiana University’s 1987 Big Ten Championship team. With over 20 years of coaching experience at Club Med Resorts, Midtown in Chicago, and as Head Pro at the Macatawa Tennis Club, Alison combines her deep knowledge of the game with a background in elementary education, making her especially skilled at working with young players.

At RCLB, she continues to share her expertise and positive energy, working with juniors and adults in group and private lessons.
